President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Companion Global Healthcare, Inc.
With more than 30 years of health care administration experience from the perspective of both the health plan and medical facility, Mr. Boucher currently serves as president and chief operating officer (COO) of Companion Global Healthcare, Inc. Mr. Boucher worked in Quorum Health Resources hospitals for 14 years, the last several as chief executive officer (CEO) in North and South Carolina facilities. Mr. Boucher earned his Bachelor of Science in Community Health Administration at Slippery Rock State University (PA) and his Master of Public Health degree in Administration at the University of South Carolina. David is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He participated at the board of director level for the Columbia Free Medical Clinic and the Rotary Club of Spring Valley. In 2013, David was presented with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of South Carolina School of Public Health. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the South Carolina Philharmonic, the World Affairs Council and the South Carolina Arts Foundation. Over the past few years, David has been quoted in over 250 national health care publications, including US News & World Reports, Business Week, Fast Company, The Economist and Good Housekeeping, plus the NBC Nightly News and Fox Business News. David has made presentations on medical travel to a number of audiences, including Harvard Medical School, Harvard Business School, Yale University, AARP and AHIP. He is a regular lecturer at the University of South Carolina School of Public Health.
